Crisis for the world's amphibians

BBC News, October

It exposes some arguments that defend that some species of amphibians that are threatened with extinction. If this problem continues at that level, some species will be extinct, some of them will be vertebrates. Moreover, there will also be a big extinction apart from the dinosaurs disappearance.
We can find amphibians in all the countries except Antarctica.
Also, I think that for global warming or climate change some species but not only with amphibians but all of them, will be threatened with extinction.

There are also very species that are not investigated I mean, that people don’t know exist. There isn’t money to study this science. The news talks about “ We hope this will improve and expand the movement to protect amphibians boosting the fundraising and publicity drive necessary to raise concern over amphibian declines and put vital conservation strategies into practice”. What’s become the publicity with the amphibians? We want that the amphibians don’t extinct not doing publicity about this animals, the importance of the animals and also plants: it’s very important for life.

  1. Hi Laura,

this is a nice post that makes me think about our actual situation on Earth. As you said, many species, and not only amphibians, are in danger of becoming extinct, and I think this is the human’s fault. We are responsible to care about the environment and nature to allow animals to live. We are generating far too much contamination so that global warming is the consequence, and this threatens animals. If we continue like until now, we’ll definitely be one of the next species that will be extinct, so I think we shouldn’t depreciate the danger for amphibians and care better about them.
